At HTA our apprentices learn from highly qualified and experienced Chefs off-the-job and obtain 'hands on' experience in a variety of establishments whilst on-the-job enabling each apprentice to gain invaluable industry know-how.

Our strong connections with the hospitality industry mean that we are able to offer our apprentices up-to-date information about changes in the industry while they are completing their training program.

Futures Employment Program - Expression of Interest Form (Students)

Futures Employment Program - Expression of Interest Form (Schools)

Through the Hospitality Training Association’s (HTA) dedication to recruitment, employment and training, HTA has become a highly respected association and a leader within the industry.

Continuing with our commitment to the industry, HTA and Restaurant and Catering Queensland (RCQ) have ‘joined forces’ to develop a program aimed at supporting young people in Queensland.

The Futures Employment Program is designed to provide part-time employment opportunities to high school students currently undertaking years ten, eleven or twelve studies.

Positions are made available to students in restaurants within their locality, which is complemented by up to three weeks of theory conducted by HTA each year (at no cost to the student or the school).

A win-win for the industry and the students, all schools and restaurateurs are encouraged to participate in this invaluable program.
