The Importance of Boundaries in Counselling

Chris Caldwell

(includes 2 hours Professional Supervision)

Boundaries :- ' almost every issue presented to me in supervision has as part of its anatomy, the idea and awareness of boundary, that is, the overlapping of practitioner and client energies, as expressed in a therapeutic session, or between sessions. There are perhaps several reasons for this, including practitioner anxiety, self protection and identification.'

In this session we will review the ground rules around boundaries, using a variety of case studies and personal experiences'

Chris Caldwell is a psychologist registered to practice since 1991.

He has taught counselling practice in the UK  and in Melbourne at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, Melbourne College of Complementary Medicine and The Phoenix Institute. As well, he has facilitated many workshops and seminars in a private capacity.

Currently, he is in private practice in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria.
